Nekole Shapiro - More Oxytocin Please!
- Nekole Shapiro brings her eclectic background and a life time of experience and learning to the distressed climate of US birthing with the creation of TantricBirth. “The vision of TantricBirth came to me as I prepared myself to birth my second daughter. I knew I could have a different experience than I had with my first. It was the success of what I learned that has inspired me to spread the word to others and transform the birthing experience for mothers and their families.”
- Nekole Shapiro is the child of a massage school creator and birth doula educator. An LMP for 17 years, she has massaged celebrities, CEOs and top ranking athletes. Nekole was initiated into the white Tantra practices of chanting, meditation and deep contemplation when she was three years old. In NYC, she practiced the ancient Auryervedic healing art of Pancha Karma and began her lifelong practice of Ashtanga Yoga. She holds both a degree in Asian Studies and a certificate in pre-medical studies from Columbia University. In addition to her healing arts background, Nekole has sung on opera stages, fostered an Internet start-up and worked with billion dollar bank accounts on Wall Street. She is the mother of two powerhouse girls and indulges her lifelong fascination in weaving the world of science with the mystic arts as often as she possibly can. www.tantricbirth.com
